Nicky Aerts has been a journalist and radio producer with the public broadcaster, VRT, since 1999. She worked there on various programs both at Radio1, at the news service, and at Klara. She lived for quite some time in Berlin, Jerusalem, Tehran and has been back from a year in Washington since the summer of 2022. In Berlin, she learned Russian - because she already spoke German -, in Jerusalem Arabic.
